Automotive Industry Events in Florida

The United States has long had a passionate love affair with the Automobile. We were the first country to begin using them, the first to mass produce them, and the first to become enamored with their power and chrome plated glory. The car is as American as apple pie, baseball, and Uncle Sam rolled in one. A status symbol, proof of autonomy, a sign of adulthood, a chariot of steel and gasoline breaking through the barriers standing between you and freedom.

We’ve fallen in love with the sound of the engine, feeling the roar of it in your chest. Theres nothing we have quite the same fondness for, even naming our cars, as if they were a part of the family, a sentiment that we here at A1A limousine share. It’s no wonder that across the entire country and throughout the year there are always events dedicated to cars going on. We here in Florida are no different.

In Davie at Lamborghini of Broward, every Saturday is Supercar Saturday. An event devoted to  supercars, slim and quick, the olympic sprinters of the vehicular world. Welcoming all other cars as well, luxury vehicles, like those that make up our fleet at A1A limo service, classic cars, foreign exotics, Custom rides, American Muscle, and Hot Rods. Entry is free and everyone is welcome.

The Kingsland Car Show is not free, with a 20 dollar pre-registration fee and a 25 dollar regular fee if you don’t pre-register. The event welcomes all makes and models, new and old, exotic and mundane, with the event itself marketed as a celebration of transportation. It includes prizes, food, entertainment, and tropies.

Among the many events are a certain type, refferred to as drive or cruise ins, more so a gathering of cars and people in one place, usually at a diner or on a main road with access to shops and restaurants. The Havana Antique and Classic Car CRUISE IN is one such of these. Taking place on the third saturday of every month and attracting classic cars from all over.

The list of car events in general is long, with 27 car shows, 1 auction, 5 swap meets, and 11 cruise-in’s. A car show is characterized by a large roster of classic and luxury cars on display for the public, show casing the gems of yesteryear for all to see and marvel at. A car auction sells antique or classic cars and custom jobs to the highest bidder, even if you don’t intend to buy, it is worth going to most auctions just to see what there is to see and look at whats on sale, especially seeing as Car auctions sell only the most cherished and desired vehicles, and theres a good chance that you’ll see things there that you wouldn’t normally see anywhere else.

If you are buying, then be prepared to spend a lot of money. Even outside of an auction these vehicles are the cream of the crop and as a result will go for many tens of thousands of dollars, and within the auction that number is only inflated. This isn’t to mean that you are being ripped off or had. As with luxury car services, you get what you pay for. If you pay top dollar you’ll take home a marvel of human engineering that will stand the test of time and can be passed along to your children after you. If on the other hand, your passion for classic cars far surpasses the reserves of your bank account, the auction may not be for you, or if you do go, just enjoy the show and relax while watching your dreams roll by wrapped in chrome and leather.

A swap meet is a more informal gathering, where cars, as well as parts and memorabilia, can be bought, sold, and bargained for. If you yourself are restoring a vehicle, this is where you will want to be. Chances are there are parts here that you need or wont be able to find elsewhere. As a result of the age and the amount of time that has passed since many classic cars first hit the roads and highways of the united states, their parts are often few and far between being expensive and hard to come by commodities. These swap meets are a good chance to bargain for your parts, something impossible on most websites. With that said, almost all vendors at swap meets accept cash only, so if you are buying, be prepared for it.

We here at A1A limousine have a love for all things on four wheels with a motor. Cars are not just our livelihood, they are in many cases our passion, and when it comes down to it, a limousine is just that. We can’t recommend these events enough.

Whatever reason you might want to hire a luxury car, it can be concluded that car services offer safety and convenience that cannot be matched with traditional transportation methods.
